I love working with Cricut’s faux leather to make jewelry—it doesn’t weigh anything and it cuts beautifully. I suggest using Cricut’s Strong Grip mat when cutting faux leather so that it won’t shift while the machine cuts. Cricut’s faux suede is also a beautiful and lightweight choice!

Snowflake Leather Earrings Instructions
Ready to make one of the easiest projects ever? Cut out the downloaded file on your Cricut. I used silver faux pebbled leather and the purple strong grip mat and it worked really well. Using your poker, make a small hole at the top of the teardrop shape. It should be about 1/16″ from the top — pretty darn close to the edge!
Use your needle-nose pliers to work open the ring at the bottom of the fishhook earring. Slide the teardrop onto the earring using the hole you just poked, and clamp the ring back in place.
They are ready to wear! I spent less than ten minutes designing, cutting, and assembling these earrings. And since I did the design work for you, you just have to cut and make!
Super easy! Hope you’ve enjoyed this easy Christmas craft!

will these work with the scan n cut machine?
Cori George says
Hi Carolyn — they should! I believe a Scan N Cut can cut an SVG or DXF, both of which are in the download. Let me know if it works!

Hi! I would love to make something similar to this and am curious what type of blade you used for these. Did you use a deep cut blade or a rotary blade or what? Thanks so much.
Cori George says
I used the regular blade on the “faux leather” setting and the purple mat to make these :)
Liz Hodge says
Hi Cori! I used the strong grip mat but it still shifted. I also used the Explore Air 2 recommended setting of Faux Leather. I did a one inch version so I wouldn’t waste the faux leather.

Where does everyone buy leather sheets from? I know you can buy from the cricut site, but anywhere else?

I can’t seem to be able to find the actual files to download… Can anyone direct me??
Cori George says
Hi Kaley, there’s a form right below the supply list to download the files. It’s says “DOWNLOAD THE SNOWFLAKE EARRINGS HERE!” at the top. Thanks!

Would this work on an explore air 2? Or only maker?
Cori George says
The Explore Air 2 will cut these! Make sure to use a strong-grip mat.

Thank you for the nice design. I am trying to figure out how to assemble them my design space cut 3 shapes, one that’s plain and two with snowflakes cut out, am I missing something? Please let me know if I need to re-download this design, it looks like it needs another piece. Thanks for helping me out, I love them.
