Escape into science fiction dystopia with your very own Ready Player One mug! Get ready for the movie premier by making this mug with the IOI logo on one side and a game controller on the other!
Thank you to Expressions Vinyl for providing vinyl for this post!
Ready Player One is one of the best books I’ve read in the past few years. I think it was partially growing up in the 80s, partially that I love dystopian novels, and partially that I love books that function like a treasure hunt. Oh, and I love underdog stories! There’s so much to love about Ernest Cline’s novel. I am super excited that Steven Spielberg is bringing it to the big screen this week. I already have tickets to see it and I can’t wait!
Today I’m sharing a super easy DIY using a couple SVGs that I designed specifically for Ready Player One fans. This mug tells both sides of the story. First, the good guys and their game controllers. And then my imagined logo of IOI: Innovative Online Industries, the tech company Wade and his friends have to fight against to hunt down the keys and unlock the fortune.
You’ll get the SVG, DXF, PDF, JPG, and PNG files—you can use them in all sorts of applications. I used Expressions Vinyl for this post — easy to weed, lots of colors, everything to love! I cut the files on my gorgeous new Wisteria Cricut Explore Air 2 (learn more about the machine here).
