While a Glowforge isn’t cheap, you can craft and create an amazing range of projects. It’s a great tool for both personal use and small businesses. You can sell items made on a Glowforge online and at craft fairs—think earrings, wood signs, acrylic projects, and more. What is the Difference Between the Glowforge Models?
Here are the differences between the two Glowforge models. Note that Glowforge used to have a third model, a basics machine but discontinued it in 2023. Every machine is the same size and can cut and engrave the same materials (including interesting materials, like fabric, rubber, aluminum, marble, and more). The biggest differences is in the quality of the laser and the speed. The Glowforge Pro also gets you a passthrough slot for cutting large projects. I have a Glowforge Pro.

How Much Does a Glowforge Cost?

What is the Price for the Glowforge Air Filter?
If you do not have a window to vent your Glowforge, you’ll need an air filter to go with your machine. The current Glowforge air filter price is $1295 plus shipping.
The cartridge within the air filter ($249) will also need to be replaced every so often—it varies depending on the types of cuts and engraving you do. This air filter cartridge also sells out sometimes on the Glowforge site, which is frustrating.
I HIGHLY recommend venting out of a window if possible—this makes a Glowforge more affordable overall.
