So last year marked a huge step in my relationship with my husband. For the first time in the nine years we’ve known each other, we got to kiss on New Year’s Eve! We’ve spent several years in different places, a couple years asleep (thank you twin babies!) and every other year we’ve been sick (like, really sick — like, don’t-come-near-me-sick). So it was fun to ring in the new year with a kiss last year!

We have high hopes for a repeat kiss this year—only because we’re all sick right now, so hopefully we’ll be well by the time New Year’s Eve rolls around! I’m hoping that this year we can even go to some kind of party—it’s been quite a few years since we’ve celebrated the new year surrounded by friends and family.
