4th of July Craft Idea: Felt USA Banner

Need a quick 4th of July craft idea? This modern felt USA banner is the perfect patriotic decor! Cut out of felt by hand or with your Cricut—you can make it in 15 minutes or less!

If you have any sort of 4th of July party plans this year, I have a super cute patriotic craft for you. I’ve joined up with dozens of other bloggers for patriotic Craft Lightning—so many 4th of July craft ideas that you can make in under 15 minutes!

I’ve designed this funky modern USA banner, perfect for the front of a party table, hanging on your front door, or across your deck railing. The traditional red, white, and blue aren’t really my style, so I’ve cut this banner out of pinks and blue-y teals—it still reads patriotic…but it’s still so me! You, of course, could cut it in a more traditional palette.

Need great felt? I get mine from Benzie Design! Their felt cuts beautifully by hand or using your Cricut Maker and the rotary blade. As a shortcut for this project, I used their Big Banner Felt-Fetti, but there’s also a similar shape in the file I have below.

• Spray adhesive
• Ribbon

Making the Felt USA Banner

Once you have all the pieces cut, it’s a cinch to finish up the banner. Simply use a little spray adhesive to layer the felt letters. If you use the banners that i linked above, you’ll find that there are little slits for ribbon or dowels. If not, just cut small slits and thread your ribbon through!
