This is Boos Mug Instructions
Start by cleaning your mug with rubbing alcohol. This isn’t mandatory, but your vinyl will adhere much better and stay on your mug or tumbler much longer.
Download the cut files and cut them out using your Cricut or other cutting machine. I prefer to use the outdoor vinyl for projects like this — I find it holds up better than the regular vinyl in the long haul.
Weed out the negative space on the vinyl, making sure to get the little pieces in the loops of the lettering.
Cut a piece of transfer tape the size of your design and take off the backing. Place it sticky side down and use the scraper to press the transfer paper onto your design.
Peel up the transfer tape and the design should come with it! If not, run the scraper over it again.
Center your transfer tape on your mug, and using your fingers smooth the vinyl on to the mug. Carefully peel back the transfer tape and the design should stick to the mug! Done!
These would also make a great gift for a mom with a boozy (boos-y?) sense of humor, or a mixologist friend. You could dress it up a bit with a mini bottle of liquor, a small bag of coffee, and some candy corn or other Halloween treat.

Hi,
Im thinking of a Cricut machine and just doing some research into what I can make with it!
Your blog is amazing and has really helped!
I was wondering if you know whether the vinyl decals are dishwasher safe when on mugs?
Thank You!

I’d suggest using the outdoor vinyl and washing by hand. The high temps of the dishwasher tend to make the edges of the vinyl lift and it won’t last as long.
Hope that helps! Glad you’re finding good stuff here! :)
