DIY XOXO Heart Garland for Valentine’s Day

Looking for easy, last-minute Valentine’s Day decor for your mantel or front door? Download these free Valentine’s Day SVG cut files and make a hugs and kisses heart garland in no time!

There’s just a little time left before Valentine’s Day—are you looking for some last-minute decor that is simple and easy to make? Decorating the fireplace mantel is one of my favorite ways to get ready for a holiday!

Our candy corn felt banner was so popular, so we wanted to do one for Valentine’s Day as well!

Don’t despair! Today I’m sharing a quick paper hugs and kisses heart garland you can cut out if you have a Cricut or other cutting machine. This is a perfect beginner Cricut project and doesn’t require any glue—just a bit of twine, ribbon, or string!

It’s so easy. Just cut out the shapes (with pre-designed holes for hanging) on your cutting machine, add some twine or ribbon, and hang it on your fireplace mantle or somewhere else to add a little Valentine’s Day festivity!

Supplies Needed:

Get everything you need to make this project in my Amazon store!

• Cricut Explore or other cutting machine
• Green StandardGrip mat
• Cardstock paper
• Twine or ribbon
• SVG files (download below)

This SVG file will work with any Cricut machine, any Silhouette machine, other cutting machines, as well as laser cutters.

How to Make the Heart Garland

Upload the SVG file to Cricut Design Space or your other cutting software.

Resize if you’d like, and click Make in the upper right.

Note, when cutting out the shapes, make sure you click “2” on the number of projects you want to make—this will double the single, heart, X, and O—giving you all the pieces you need to make the complete banner. Of course you can cut as many of each shape as you’d like. You could even make a banner entirely of hearts!

It’s adorable hanging on a mantel or front door—the possibilities are endless! You could make this in traditional Valentine’s Day pink and red colors or switch it up to match your own home decor!

I’ve never been a huge decorator for Valentine’s Day (I’m usually still in spring cleaning mode), but I do love this hanging on our mantel. It adds a little Valentine’s day decor with some candle pillars and flowers!
