Big news at Hey, Let’s Make Stuff—a new creative partner has officially joined the team! Meet Paula and see what this exciting new chapter means for future tutorials, projects, and machine crafting content.

I have some really exciting news that I’ve been wanting to share for a while, and the time is finally here!
As you know, running a creative business is deeply personal to me. Over the past year, our family schedule has changed, my health has needed attention, and I realized I can’t do everything myself while still running this business like I have for the last 13 years.
But instead of scaling back what I offer or disappearing when life gets busy, I decided to do something better: I brought someone amazing onto the team!
Enter: Paula Iniguez!
I am so thrilled that Paula is joining me to help bring even more creativity and content your way. You may recognize her name from a few places:
- She’s one of the talented minds behind The Creative Housewives and The Crafty Housewives.
- She’s done videos for Cricut, sharing tutorials and tips with thousands of makers.
- And for those who know our Crafting Camps family—Paula is Jenn Crookston’s sister, who has been a key part of Crafting Camps for years!
Basically? There are lots of ways you might already know and trust her—but even if you don’t, I promise you’re going to love getting to know her!
How We’ll Be Working Together
Having a second person on my team is going to help us bring so much more crafty fun to you through all of the Hey Let’s Make Stuff channels! Like I said before, because of some changes in our family schedule, I just don’t have the time to dedicate to creating the same type of content I have in the past. So here’s how we’re going to be working together:
- Paula will now be leading our crafting videos—full studio setup, hands-on tutorials, and all the fun, detailed projects you love.
- She’ll also lead social media, keeping it fresh, helpful, and consistent.
- I’ll still be here—leading content and creative direction, creating videos that don’t require a full studio setup, writing emails and blog posts, and creating new products.
- We’ll both be interacting with you in comments, DMs, and posts—answering questions, cheering you on, and sharing tips!
Why I’m So Excited
Bringing Paula on means:
- More crafting content and tutorials (yay!)
- Faster responses and support for your questions
- Fresh ideas from someone who also understands crafters
- A sustainable, long-term business that can keep showing up for you!

Paula is so friendly, talented, and passionate about helping makers learn and grow without feeling overwhelmed. I trust her completely—not just with the content, but with this community!
I can’t wait for you to get to know her, and I hope you’ll give her the same warm welcome you’ve always shown me.
Get to Know Paula
1. Tell us a little about yourself!
I’m a mom of six kids with ages ranging from 23 to 8! My husband Josh and I are constantly on the go with our kids’ sports and activities, so it’s nice when they are at school to sit down and do crafting to just relax. We also have a cute, little Shih Tsu named Tucker that we inherited from Josh’s grandma. We lovingly refer to him as a potato dog because he loves to just lay around or be held ALL the time!
2. How did you get started with crafting and making?
Honestly, I can’t remember a time when I didn’t craft. In elementary school, they let us pick an activity for free time and I picked cross stitching. Then there was also a big trend of turning 3 inch binders into padded, lacy, ruffled scrapbooks. They were the most gaudy looking things, but we loved them! I’m sure I still have mine somewhere.
I learned how to crochet from my great grandmother and my mom was always crafting or sewing. We got really into the scrapbooking scene in the late 90’s/early 2000’s. That’s pretty much how I was introduced to Cricut. We would go to these big weekend scrap events and there would be vendors selling die cuts and stickers that we would buy to create our pages. Then the first Cricut machine came out and we could make our own, so that was a game-changer for us. Then my sister, Jenn and I decided that we could probably start sharing our crafting adventures through the blogging world and it was all downhill from there!
3. What kinds of projects or tools do you love working with most?
It’s really hard to pick just one. I love using HTV because it’s so much fun to make your own shirts, hats, bags, all of that. But I also love paper crafting! Layered paper projects are just so much fun to make! My favorite tool is probably my weeding tool. It’s the thing I use the most!
4. What are you most excited to share with this community?
I’m really excited to be part of Hey, Let’s Make Stuff and share my knowledge of Cricut crafting. I’m also excited to dive into the parts of the crafting world that I haven’t gotten to spend as much time with and learn right alongside all of our crafting friends here!
5. What’s one thing you wish more creatives would stop stressing about?
Perfection. The most wonderful thing about crafting is how personal it is. I want other creatives to remember that it’s okay to make mistakes, to learn as you go, and enjoy the process of creating. Creating something should be enjoyable, not stressful. There are always going to be times where we stress about getting a gift done on time, making a vinyl sign look perfectly straight, etc but that shouldn’t be the norm. Being creative should be fun!
6. What can people expect from your crafting videos and social media posts?
I like my crafting videos to help someone learn how to do something from start to finish. I also like breaking things down in a way that people feel confident in creating. I love helping people see a project and think “Yes! I can do this!”. I also want our social media to be a place where people come to be inspired, learn something new, have a laugh, and feel part of a community.
7. Just for fun: what’s always nearby when you’re crafting?
Snacks. Always snacks. If I am crafting, you can guarantee there will be Dots Parmesan Pretzels, some type of fruity, chewy candy, and a Cherry Coke. It’s probably a terrible habit, but I’m a snacky crafter!
I’m genuinely thrilled about this next chapter—not because things are changing, but because they’re getting better, more creative, and even more fun. Thank you for being here, for trusting me, and for helping make this community such a welcoming place.
I know you’re going to love Paula!
