Blogging was mostly put on the back burner this week because tonight and tomorrow (or Sunday, if it snows tomorrow), I’m participating in my first two craft fairs!
So this week I’ve been on a tear trying to create enough product and design my display for this weekend. Last night I set up my display at a home in Rocklin, CA — she has a ton of RSVPs and I’m hoping to do well there. Lots of ladies with expendable incomes! I’ll take photos of my booth and post about my experience at both craft fairs next week.
Yesterday I had the idea to use my Bloomin’ Quilt-As-You-Go tutorial to create an actual bloomin’ flower. I am absolutely thrilled with how it turned out, with the yellow center, the light pink to dark, and the light green to dark. The pillow envelope-backed in one of my favorite green prints from Marmalade by Bonnie and Camille.
I think it’s fabulous and people seemed to really love it on FB and Instagram, so I’ll stock my shop with a few and maybe do a little Instagram flash sale soon (follow me on Instagram here to participate!). What do you think? Sound fun?
Also, SNOW! Can you believe it? It never snows here. Like, ever. I remember it snowing once in my life. I can’t wait!
