It’s been one of those rough weeks. Stuff keeps breaking (my sewing machine, my car, my sanity), I’m fighting a cold that has me talking like I’ve been smoking for 80 years, and we have so much going on it’s hard to see straight. But despite the iffy week, I’ve been able to make some time to sew in my shop. Here are the things I’m working on, plus a couple recent finishes!
Works in Progress
I’ve been working on my Schnitzel and Boo Mini Quilt Swap quilt for a while now. 144 HSTs later, I have the top pieced! It’s like a unicorn fractal rainbow explosion and I LOVE IT. My partner is way way way awesome so I hope she loves it too! Hoping to get it quilted by next Wednesday.
And, as per usually, I’m slowly truckin’ away on my Scrappy Swoon. I’ve got all the HSTs and flying geese pieced — this week I started putting the blocks together! Two down, ten to go. You can see more of my progress on Instagram.
A new client requested a set of red and green pillows — patchwork and chevron. Love how both of these turned out. Instead of feeling Christmassy, I think they feel like a bright rose garden.
And of course, pennants, pennants, pennants! Two more for new babies this week, plus a set for my partner from The Adopt Swap on Instagram, which helped raise money so a family could adopt a little boy! Want a set? I have them for sale in my shop!
And that’s what I’ve been doing — whatcha workin’ on this week? Let me know in the comments and you can link up at Freshly Pieced!
