Happy Wednesday, my friends! Hope all is well in your life — things are trucking right along here! As you might remember, I had bunion surgery in January on my right foot. This week, I scheduled my left foot — surgery on August 6! Which means another six weeks of couch jail. Boo. But it’s totally worth it to have feet that work properly!
And thus begins the Great Hustle to prepare for my time off. I have some projects to finish up for some clients, plus I have this dream that I’ll get my Swoon quilt off to the quilter before I leave. We’ll see!
Here’s what I’m working on this week!
Works In Progress
This may come as a complete shock, but I am still working on my Swoon — only three blocks to go! Then sashing and boom, off to the quilter (no way I’m quilting this beast on my little machine!). I am determined to get this off to the quilter before my surgery. I. Can. Do. This.
I’m also making a little mug rug for a friend — you can learn this technique using my Bloomin’ Quilt As You Go Tutorial! I’ll back it and bind it this week and send it off to her.
I’m working on my Bess top as well! And by working on it, I mean I cut it out and put it on my form. But I should finish it up before my surgery.
And I finally decided what I’m going to do with my pretty Arizona bundle — I’m going to make myself a sewing machine cover! That way I get to see it all the time. I can’t wait to get started!
I finished my Schnitzel & Boo Mini Quilt! Here’s a sneak peek — I’ll have a full post about it soon!
I’ve also finished up a few more sets of pennants, but somehow forgot to take photos. Well done me!
And that’s what I’ve been doing — what have you been working on this week? Let me know in the comments and you can link up at Freshly Pieced!
