We decided to do family portraits with my brother Chris, sister-in-law Alicia, and nephew O — we thought they would make lovely gifts for our parents, grandma, and aunt. It was also a great chance to get together with our photographer and long-time friend, Tommy Sullivan, who is not only a great photographer, but one of the nicest people I know.
For many reasons, Chris and Alicia have decided not to post photos or info about O on the Internet — even their private Facebook pages have no photos. More than anything, they want to give him a chance to decide what he wants posted about himself on the Internet. I can definitely see their point of view, and respect it! Ryan and I will have some tough decisions to make about this when we have kids of our own.
Which means that although Tommy took a ton of fabulous photos of my incredibly adorable nephew, I’m not going to share any of them here. So you’ll have to imagine the cutest 18-month-old ever in the photos. But I will share some of my other favorites from the shoot, including a few of Chris and Alicia (with their permission, of course).
Love this bridge at sunset!
I particularly love this one of my brother making a face when Ryan and I kissed:
While Tommy was taking this photo, I was like, “Now! Live on Pinterest!” Doesn’t it seem particularly Pinteresting?
My best friend told me that to look thinner in photos, you should bend everything that bends. I say we look lovely and slim, don’t you?
I love this one of Alicia and me. I am so blessed to have a sister-in-law who is also one of my best friends. She one of the most beautiful women I know, inside and out!
I really do love this guy:
I love that my brother is in love. It makes me so happy.
