Now that I’m back from SNAP and getting back into the groove, I finally have some fun projects in my studio to share. I felt like I lost my sewing mojo for a few weeks, but it’s back! And it’s covered in rainbows!
First up, I joined the Schnitzel and Boo Mini Quilt Swap! I missed it last time and got super jealous of all the amazing quilts that were populating my Instagram feed. So I joined. And I’ll say it — my partner is WOAH. She is amazing. I have to really up my game.
After some sketching, I came up with this:
It’s based loosely on the IKEA cards you see in the upper left part of the photo, but I want to use both bright colors and some lighter versions. Here’s the stack I pulled. It’s all sorts of rainbow goodness. Started cutting it up this week!
I’ve also been churning out pennants. This set is for my new nephew! It’s just one of many sets I’ve made recently. Love this color combo. Got to meet little Seamus the other day — he is all sorts of cute!
And of course, there’s always this beast. I made a wee bit of progress, but mostly it just looms on my design wall. Really need to start sewing the blocks together.
