Welcome to 2014, my beautiful readers! I’ve been thinking and praying about this new year, and the word that keeps coming up is HOPE. A thrill of hope. Even though I had a wonderful 2013, I know it was a rough year for a lot of you. This year I’m praying for you to hold hope deep within your hearts. Whatever you’re going through, it’s not the end of the story.
2013 was incredibly busy, and I am looking forward to settling down a bit in 2014. But that doesn’t mean I don’t have a lot of exciting things planned for my business and my blog. I’ve been busy working on brainstorming and goals, and I can’t wait to share some ideas with you.
I’ll start now!
Let’s Eat Grandpa’s Monthly Creative Inspiration Linky Party!
On the second Wednesday of each month, I’m hosting a linky party here for your blog posts. Every month has a different creative inspiration. You can create a new project or post based on the inspiration, or go through your blogging archives and pick old posts that work for the inspiration. I love the idea of giving new life to your old posts. You’ll be able to post up to three new and/or old posts each month.
I’m hoping that these themes are broad enough that bloggers of all kinds can be included. For example, in January, the theme is “Baby, It’s Cold Outside.” I’m thinking quilts, knitted socks, peppermint hot chocolate recipes, posts about trips to the snow with your kiddos — so many possibilities to be creative!
One week after the challenge (the third Wednesday), I’ll share my favorite links, as well as feature the post with the most clicks!
More to come!
That’s just the beginning! I can’t tell you how many ideas I have rolling around in my brain to make this blog a great resource for your sewing and DIY life. Get ready for great tutorials, fun projects, real-life renovations, ideas for living simply, and more. It’s going to be a great year!
