I’m just in love with this Compact Grocery Tote from Lisa Lam’s A Bag for All Reasons. I made a couple earlier this year, and I have found that it’s a super easy, yet really cute and surprisingly sturdy bag. The reinforcement stitching on the handles makes it feel like you could pack this thing full of books or groceries or gold bars and it would hold up.
I wanted it to be sort of bookish, so the outside is typewriter keys from Julia Rothman’s Type line, and the handles and strap are part of the Architextures line by Carolyn Friedlander. The inside is the bright orange crosshatch from Madrona Road for a big pop of color.
One of the reasons I love this bag is because it not only has a handy little hook, but also wraps up super small, so you can throw it in your bag and use it when you need a bit of extra storage space.
